Name

Metro Bilbao API

Identifies a stop, a station, or a station entrance.

The term "station entrance" refers to both entries and exits. Stops, stations and station entrances are collectively referred to as "locations". Multiple routes may share the same stop.

stop_id

Contains a short text or number identifying the location for passengers. These codes are often used in passenger information systems or signage. It may be equal to stop_id if public. Leave empty if the location has no passenger-facing code.

stop_code

Name of the location, understandable to locals and tourists.

If the location is a boarding area (location_type=4), it must contain the name shown by the agency (it can be a letter or text, e.g. "Wheelchair area").

Required if location_type ∈ {0,1,2}; optional if ∈ {3,4}.

stop_name

Latitude of the location.

Required if location_type ∈ {0,1,2}; optional if ∈ {3,4}.

stop_lat

Longitude of the location.

Required if location_type ∈ {0,1,2}; optional if ∈ {3,4}.

stop_lon

location_type

Sets the hierarchy between locations (stops.txt).

Stop/Platform (type=0): station ID.
Station (type=1): empty.
Entrance/Exit (type=2) or Generic Node (type=3): station ID (type=1).
Boarding area (type=4): platform ID.

Required for type ∈ {2,3,4}; optional for type=0; forbidden for type=1.
